Shopmobility - Durham City

General Information
Shopmobility Durham City loans scooters and wheelchairs to anyone with a mobility difficulty coming into Durham City.

Shopmobility has acquired a fully-accessible minibus which is used to collect registered members from home (if local). It can also be used to deliver a piece of equipment to another location within the City.

Organised accessible excursion service (door to door pick up). Timetables available contact office on 3868556.

They also now hire manual wheelchairs for long term loan at a cost of £20 per week or £5 per day.

Scooters for long term loan at a cost of £50 per week or £10 per day.

Costs and Charges
Annual Membership costs £3 per year equipment hire charge £1 per hour 9.30am - 4.45pm.

Bus charges vary depending upon the distance travelled. Group bookings can be made.

Hours Available
The office is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30am till 5:00pm.

BOOKINGS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS ESSENTIAL.

Accessible Premises
The premises are wheelchair accessible from the car park, and a lift gives access to the shopping areas.
