Business Ambassadors are:
- Volunteers recruited from local businesses in County Durham and Darlington
- Representatives of their profession and their company
- From a range of occupational areas and backgrounds
- Willing to help young people understand more about the world of work
The Aims & Objectives of the Programme are to:
- Raise awareness of career opportunities available to young people
- Help students realise the relevance of their education
- Encourage and motivate students and raise their aspirations
- Help students prepare for the world of work
Business Ambassador Activities
Business Ambassador activities support the National Curriculum. Business Ambassadors work with students of all ages and abilities.
Students and Teachers benefit from the scheme because:

- Students are encouraged to continue training and education after leaving school
- Teachers can update their knowledge of the workplace
