Enterprise Day - Enterprising Houses

What is it?

Students work in small teams to form a company to tender to build a housing estate. A 'hands on' practical activity where students demonstrate creativity, communication, negotiation and problem solving.
The activity can be enhanced to include the importance of financial awareness. Students look at a variety of scenarios relating to individuals' finances to identify who is the most appropriate to get a mortgage.

Who is it for?

This activity is suitable for students in years 8 and 9 but can also be adapted for older students.
